Rohnert Park Cancer Center Staff & Physicians

The Rohnert Park Cancer Center strives for excellence in every aspect of our patient's treatment experience. We believe that successful treatment begins by caring for the entire patient and the patient's family.

We work closely with our patient, their family, their caregivers and their doctors. Our caring Physicians and Staff are here to successfully treat, answer questions, and provide support.

We have designed our services to guide the patient through each step of treatment to insure that our patient is fully informed.

Throughout treatment we provide nutritional counseling, weight management and support.


     
 

Joseph Song, M.D.
Radiation Oncologist

Dr. Song is a 3rd generation physician who grew up in Wisconsin where his father was in private practice as an Ob Gyn. He earned his BA in Anthropology at Harvard College, and his MD at Harvard Medical School in Boston.

Dr. Song chose Radiation Oncology as his specialty because the synthesis of direct patient care, cancer biology, physics, and multidisciplinary care appealed to him. He completed his Residency training at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) where he also served as Chief Resident. He is Board Certified in Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Radiology, and he is experienced in Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Stereotactic Radiosurgery, and both permanent seed and High Dose Rate (HDR) brachytherapy.

Dr. Song and his wife, Samantha, enjoy hiking along the California Coast, snowboarding, and winetasting.

 
     

     
 

Marc Fields, M.D.
Radiation Oncologist

Dr. Fields earned his BA in biology and MD at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. His postgraduate training began with an internship in Internal Medicine at the University of California-Los Angeles. Subsequently, he completed his specialty residency training in Radiation Oncology at the University of Michigan.

Dr. Fields was in private practice at Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, Arizona before relocating to the Bay Area to be near family. Dr. Fields is board certified in Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Radiology. He is experienced in Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT).

Dr. Fields, his wife Cathy, and daughter Lauren enjoy taking their two dogs for walks on the California Coast.
